Join us on Tuesday, August 2, at 10:00 am for a work bee at Central Park. We will be removing spotted knapweed, an invasive species. Dress appropriately, bring a bottle of water, and definitely bring gloves. The rain date is August 3, 10:00 am.
We expect to work for 1 – 1.5 hours.
Poison Ivy along our roadsides was a topic of conversation at the July 2022 CHA board meeting. The board is asking that all property owns remove or kill any poison ivy on their properties at the road edge. This is especially important for the area that is mowed so that chopped up poison ivy isn’t spread.
Also, thanks to Lynn Livingston for putting together a document showing the invasive plant species in CHA that we should all be working to eradicate. The document, which is available under Resources/Documents (or by clicking here), includes pictures (so you know what to look for) and steps to take to remove or destroy the plants.
Remember that the speed limit in CHA is 25 mph. There are a lot of kids in the neighborhood in the summer and your speeding puts them (and the adults!) at risk. So please: slow down!
Join us Saturday mornings, 8:00 am – 10:00 am, for coffee and donuts at the Clubhouse. It’s free and a great way to meet some of your neighbors.
