Thanks to everyone who came out to the Annual Meeting today or who joined via Zoom. Counting all the ballots was a huge job so a special thanks to our election committee and our non-CHA counting volunteers.

For CHA Board of Directors, the following candidates were elected or re-elected for a three year term:

Todd Ansbacher
Melissa VanDam
Tom Wellman

Congratulations to all!

Additionally, the following were approved by the membership:

Proposal 1
Proposal 2
Proposal 3
The 2021/2022 Annual Budget
The dues increase to $64/lot, effective May 1, 2022

The following proposal did not pass:

The dues increase to $75/lot, effective May 1, 2023

This last proposal did received more than 50% of votes to approve. However, the threshold for a dues increase is 2/3 (66.667%).

Again, thanks to everyone who helped out today!

The internet access in the clubhouse has been turned back on. However, the old router wouldn’t connect with Spectrum’s new modem so a new router has been installed. Check the Owners’ Section for a document with the new wi-fi password.

The Annual Meeting of the Cherry Home Shores Association will be held on Saturday, May 29, at 10:00 am Eastern outside the CHA clubhouse. And, for the first time, the meeting will also be carried on Zoom for the those that can’t attend in person. As this is the first time we’ve tried this, please be patient as we work out any potential technical issues. Also, if you’re attending in person, be sure to bring a lawn chair or blanket to sit on.

We will conduct normal business starting at 10:00am and there will also be question and answer session for all members. The meeting agenda is listed below.  The ballots will be counted while the meeting is going on but it is expected that the meeting will adjourn while counting is still occurring and that the board will reconvene later in the afternoon to announce the winners and results of various ballot amendment initiatives. We will also post the results on the CHA website no later than 6:00pm.

Hope to see many of you in person but if you can’t make it, try to drop in via Zoom!
