Join our neighbors Phil Greene and Ken Ranger for an evening of delicious food and drink from New Orleans. After having some light and delicious New Orleans snacks, you’ll enjoy authentic jambalaya from Ken’s amazing recipe, and Phil will regale you with tales of NOLA cocktails, including samples of four of them (the Hurricane, Roffignac, Sazerac, and Ramos Gin Fizz). You’ll even get to shake your own Gin Fizz! Copies of Greene’s five cocktail books will be available for purchase and signature. Don’t miss it!

Phil lived in the Crescent City for three years, and traces his French Creole ancestors there back to 1803. He’s the author of five cocktail books, is an internationally recognized authority on New Orleans food and drink history, is a co-founder of the Museum of the American Cocktail, and has served on the Board of Directors of the Southern Food and Beverage Museum, both of which are in New Orleans.

Ken attended the culinary program at Monroe County Community College, graduating in 1991. He spent his early years working various restaurants in southeast Michigan, and also spent a summer at the Mission Point Resort on Mackinac Island as a baker.
